  • Purple - Academic Programs
  • Red - Social Programs

Get to know Richmond through an energizing morning run or brisk walk!

 Day Climbing Trip

Bring lunch and a bottle of water with you! If you have ever wondered about rock climbing this is a perfect trip for you. Experienced and safety conscious guides will teach the basics of rock climbing. Our clinic will be held at Hidden Rocks, VA or Goshen Pass, depending on weather. During this day trip, you will learn basic climbing knots, safety, belaying, and climbing techniques while enjoying a beautiful day out of the city. Cost is $15 per person. Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. Call 828-6004 for more information.

The new Monroe Park Recreation Complex is almost here! Join us for a sneak preview of the facility as we will take you on a guided tour throught the construction zone. Stop by the University College to get all the details on how to make your college experience a successful one. Ongoing sessions include: Academic Advising - Stop by the "Ask an Advisor" table with last-minute questions; Writing Center - Come by and visit the Writing Center where our writing consultants will talk to you about how we can help you reach your goals. You'll discover that the writing center is about a whole lot more than "just writing". We like to think of the Center as a "mind spa" - a place where student tap into their best thinking energy in ways that help them succeed with reading, writing, and research for any class.; Campus Learning Center - A presentation will be conducted on "How to Talk To Your Professor"; and Class Schedule Tours - bring your class schedule, and an orientation assistant will show you where your classes are. And grab a cup of ice cream while you're here!

Want to get a head start on your assignments? Come take a tour of Cabell Library! We'll help you learn to find things in the library and show you what's where. You'll also get helpful tips to jump start the academic year. We'll share some fun facts that you'll want to explore - including Cabell's award winning Comic Art collection. Invest a few minutes now, and you'll save a lot of time later! Tours last 30 minutes and meet inside the first floor main entrance.
